and administrative assistance to oil and gas companies. Mentor and lead small contractor business
owners in management techniques. Head marketing functions to achieve business growth. Provide
licensed engineering support to refineries, fractionators, and pipeline and storage facilities.

Administered fractionator, butamer plant, and storage operations comprised of 80 personnel. Managed
7 department heads and plant managers. Functioned as Medford Plant Manager; oversaw Manager of Mont Belvieu,
Texas and Hutchinson, Kansas plants. Maintained $65M annual budget.
- Led plant staff through transition from Koch to ONEOK ownership, ensuring smooth operations without interruption.
- Integrated Mont Belvieu fractionator into Mid-Continent structure; assimilated staff and systems into new structure.
- Directed successful merger of pipeline business and plant business.
Koch Hydrocarbon, LP - Medford, Oklahoma - 1996-2005
$100M provider of fee-based fractionation services to gas plants.

Identified and resolved major system malfunctions and compliance problems.
- Played key role in sale of business and additional pipeline assets for $1.35B through improving facility reliability
and efficiency to maximize asset value for sale and in management presentations to prospective buyers.
- Turned around dysfunctional management structure by recruiting, hiring, and/or promoting

- Reduced operational incidents from 6 to 1 per year, in addition to incident
severity, through identifying primary cause of incidence and providing systematic upgrades as
well as installing plant by-pass system, which provided operators with emergency shut-off switch.
- Enhanced regulatory compliance by incorporating culture of compliance with staffing,
awareness, incentives, and consequences; earned dramatic improvements in compliance audit scores with
focus on identifying and mitigating key risks.

Niche Crude Oil Refinery.
Manager, Operations & Oil Movements
Controlled refinery operations, which included 3 area supervisors, 5 shift managers, and approximately 70 union operators. Ensured regulatory
and safety compliance. Acted as Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator. Represented company during union-related matters.
- Implemented process safety management (PSM) rules and requirements into facility management through building PSM
team out of employees and consultants, assigning leaders to each of 14 PSM elements. Trained selected operators in development of make
required piping and instrumental diagrams (P&ID).
- Revamped entire refinery by mandating successful shutdown, cleaning, repairing, and restarting; coordinated operations
manpower and consultants through planning, shutdown, start-up, and operational debugging of entire refinery.
- Incorporated new facility into refinery operations through installing new sour water stripper, writing operating procedures,
training operators, and managing start-up and debugging of new facility.
Champlin Refining & Chemicals Inc. - Corpus Christi, Texas - 1989-1991
Heavy crude oil refinery and associated chemical processing facilities.
Senior Process Engineer
Administered refinery process engineering for hydrotreaters and sulfur plants. Provided support for organizational turnarounds as
well as de-bottlenecking and optimization. Co-authored paper published in technical journal.
